Linked Learning Gold Certification

Gold certification represents the highest quality standard for Linked Learning pathways and brings valued public recognition of the exemplary work being done by Linked Learning pathway staff, students, and partners.

This process gives pathways the opportunity to bring all pathway stakeholder together and collaborate with an independent evaluator to assess quality and deepen the work of providing students with high quality integrated college and career preparation.

gold standards

The Linked Learning Gold Certification™ standards emphasize college and career learning experiences and equitable outcomes for all students. The Gold standards were developed and piloted by teachers, counselors, administrators, and students in Linked Learning pathways, and with input from technical assistance providers, educational equity experts, and industry and post-secondary partners. They emphasize cross-subject, student-centered learning with strong career and postsecondary integration, combined with student supports that ensure equitable opportunities for all students.

going for gold

Pathways seeking Gold Certification may apply at any time by indicating their interest within the Certification Platform. Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Gold certification is valid for four years, with a two-year interim reporting requirement which involves collaborative work with the Alliance to ensure pathway quality and fidelity. This two-year check-in is an opportunity to assess your progress on areas of growth identified during the initial certification review. The check-in also involves a virtual review of evidence and data in those identified areas.

our goal:

ONE MILLION YOUNG PEOPLE IN GOLD CERTIFIED LINKED LEARNING PATHWAYS BY 2030

“Gold certification illuminated the need to integrate real, hands on learning with rigorous academics to keep students engaged and on a path to success in both college and career. It served as a central framework that allowed our team to coalesce around shared goals and an ambitious plan to ensure that our students go above and beyond their full potential.”
