Nursing hopefuls training in lab: Eastside students practice on mannequins during project
Fifteen Eastside High School Biomedical Science Academy students trained on advanced mannequins in the nursing simulation lab at Antelope Valley College over five sessions. The pilot project was a collaboration between Kaiser Permanente Antelope Valley, Antelope Valley Community College District and Antelope Valley Union High School District.
Linked Learning achieves gold
Seven months after Eastside High School’s Biomedical Science Academy and Lancaster High School’s Multimedia and Engineering Academy achieved Gold certification from the Linked Learning Alliance, the schools received formal congratulations from Antelope Valley Union High School District administrators, Linked Learning Alliance officials, Assemblyman Tom Lackey and industry partners.
School Programs Eye Gold Certification
Eastside High School’s Biomedical Science Academy and Lancaster High School’s Multimedia and Engineering Academy are two of the first 12 pathways statewide to receive a pilot gold certification from the Linked Learning Alliance.
