Accelerating Efforts for California’s Young People: Coming Together as Pathmakers at Our 2024 Conference

The Alliance began nearly 15 years ago as a movement of educators, employers, and communities that set new standards for excellence and equity through integrated college and career pathways. Our annual conference brings together leaders of this movement - you, the pathmakers - in a powerful and inspiring gathering. We are all hard at work building high-quality learning experiences for our young people every day. The Linked Learning conference is our space to share successes, discusses challenges and work toward solutions---together.

We’re so grateful to live and work here in California, where together we are ushering in a new era of opportunity for our young people. Our state continues to lead the way by making historic investments in education. And now the $500 million investment in Golden State Pathways will take this work one step further to enhance the whole-child experience. What we are creating is truly remarkable.

It’s why we’re excited to announce two of our keynote speakers at this year’s conference: Dr. Sonya Christian, Chancellor of California’s Community Colleges and Mr. Ben Chida, Chief Deputy Cabinet Secretary and Senior Advisor for Cradle to Career in the Office of Governor Gavin Newsom. These two leaders have deep experience and knowledge about what it means to bring a vibrant, resilient, and effective learning environment to young people, and how to do this work at scale. They will share their insights on ensuring equity remains center of our work, and how Governor Newsom’s Master Plan for Career education aims to address barriers to opportunity.
