Marc Tafolla

Marc Tafolla is the Associate Director of Policy and Housing Advocacy at The San Francisco Foundation where he works in communications and policy advocacy to address the Bay Area’s housing crisis.
Previously, Marc worked in communications for the Oakland Unified School District where he focused on strategic and crisis communications. As the Policy Director at GO Public Schools in Oakland, Marc worked on educational equity and community engagement. At the San Francisco Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights, he used his legal skills to address education equity issues. Prior to law school, Marc taught high school history in California and Oregon.
Marc is currently the Vice-Chair of OUSD’s Measure H/N College and Career Commission which oversees the use of an Oakland parcel tax to implement citywide Linked Learning.
Marc received his J.D. from Stanford Law School and a Bachelor’s in Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
